Luna
Luna is a very sweet girl who really enjoys having her cheeks scratched.
Minerva (Minnie)
Minnie is a big doe who is very cautious. If something spooks her it takes her quite a while to get over it.
Cassandra
As a kid Cassandra would holler like crazy and sounded like she was sure gloom and doom were on their way. She was named for her vocalization. Thank goodness she is much quieter as an adult.
Willow
Willow came to us from another farm with her sister Buffy. The first goats I fell in love with were alpines so I didn't think twice about adding them to the herd. Well, geeze, these two are the official herd brats. Willow has jockied for position in the herd but she hasn't managed to become the leader no matter how hard she tries.
Buffy
Buffy clearly had a rough childhood and is either challenging or in defense mode.... unless she is looking to be petted and fussed over OR there are wild roses to eat. Darned alpines!
Demeter (Demi)
Demi is one of my favorite does in the herd. She is a big girl with a lot of sass. She has taken over as the lead doe or herd queen after we lost Rainbow to a freak accident. Demi takes her leadership job very seriously and so does the rest of the herd.
